Vegetarian Beef Teriyaki - Stir Fry
8 oz Dry Un-Steak Beef Flavored Strips
3 tbsp. teriyaki sauce
4 tsp. vegetable oil, divided
2 tsp. cornstarch
2 red bell peppers cut in thin strips
6 green onions cut in thin slices
In Advance: Hydrate the Un-Steak Beef Flavored Slices by simmering in 8 oz of water, until all of the water is absorbed (~15 minutes). Combine the teriyaki sauce, 2 teaspoons oil and cornstarch in a large bowl. Add the Hydrated Un-Steak Beef Flavored Strips and marinate in refrigerator for 45 minutes.
Meal Time: In a wok stir fry bell peppers and onions in 2 teaspoons of oil for 3 minutes. Remove from pan. Stir fry the Un-Steak Beef Flavored Strips (1/2 at a time) for 1-2 minutes. Return vegetables to pan and cook until hot. Serve with rice and steamed broccoli. Serves 4.
